Christmas papercraft - Snowflakes

These snowflakes are really easy to make and they look great stuck up on your windows. Use plain old white paper or try recycled or textured papers.

What you need:
sheets of paper
a round plate that will fit on the paper
pencil
scissors
clear scotch tape

Lay paper flat and place the plate in position. Trace a circle around the plate. Cut out the circle with your scissors.

Next fold the circle to make a semi-circle, fold again to make a quarter and then again to make one eighth.

Take the pencil and draw a jagged line that goes from the outside edge of the curve down to almost the point, then come back up again on the other side. This is the shape that you will cut out.

When you have cut out the jagged V shape, open up the circle to reveal a snowflake. Tape onto your window with scotch tape.

You can make different sizes and colours to decorate windows. Looks very pretty at night and simple enough for kids to do with a little supervision.
